Heating Samples for Your Application

A sample gives you something practical to evaluate before an order moves forward. Start with your drawing, an existing heater or a description of the application. We can discuss the appropriate sample route and the details you need to check.

Choose the Sample That Answers Your Question

A reference construction and a sample made to a defined specification serve different purposes. Agree what the sample needs to demonstrate before selecting the route.

Reference Sample

Where a suitable existing construction is available, discuss a reference sample to examine its form, materials or connection arrangement. It may help narrow the design, but it does not confirm every requirement of your final heater. Sample availability, charges and delivery arrangements are agreed for the project.

Sample to an Agreed Specification

For a defined requirement, discuss a sample based on the agreed dimensions, electrical duty, mounting and connections. Identify the features and operating conditions to evaluate. The sample scope, cost, preparation time, delivery and any revision work are confirmed before work begins.

Make the Sample Review Useful

A good sample review connects the physical heater to its intended equipment. Decide what acceptance looks like and record the results against the agreed specification.

Check the Physical Fit

Compare dimensions, mounting, bend or clearance requirements and lead exits with the installation. A heater can look suitable in isolation while fitting poorly around the actual equipment.

Review the Construction

Examine the relevant materials, connections and finish against the sample specification. Separate visible features from electrical or thermal properties that require a suitable test or supporting document.

Evaluate the Intended Duty

Where functional evaluation is required, agree the equipment, controls, conditions and acceptance criteria in advance. An unpowered visual sample and an operating evaluation answer different questions.

Record the Approved Details

Identify the accepted sample and drawing revision, together with any changes still required. The written specification should remain clear enough to distinguish an approved feature from an unresolved point.

From Application Brief to Sample Review

You can begin before every detail is fixed. A sketch, equipment photograph or existing part can help explain the task; the sample specification is then developed around the actual requirement.

Share the Application

Describe what needs heating, the target temperature, maximum exposure and available electrical supply. Include dimensions, mounting conditions, connections and the quantity you are considering. For a replacement, add the original part information and the reason for the change.

Agree the Sample Brief

Define the proposed construction and the questions the sample should answer. Confirm the drawing or dimensional reference, evaluation conditions, requested documentation, sample charge and schedule. Any design deliverable or revision scope should be agreed explicitly.

Evaluate and Confirm the Next Step

Review the sample against the agreed criteria and identify any changes with their drawing references. Confirm whether the sample is accepted, whether another revision is needed, or whether the requirement should be reconsidered before an order is placed.

Tell Us What Your Sample Needs to Prove

Email info@velheat.com with your drawing or application details, the features you want to evaluate and your preferred schedule. Sample fees and timing are confirmed for the individual project.

Before you get started.

The sample charge depends on the construction, materials, preparation work and evaluation scope. Delivery arrangements are also agreed for the project. Send the application and drawing details so the sample cost can be discussed before work begins. Any credit, revision or other commercial arrangement should be stated in the agreed terms.
Sample timing is confirmed after the requirement and scope are reviewed. Construction complexity, materials, requested checks and design revisions can affect the schedule. State your required date when you enquire, and distinguish sample preparation from courier or freight transit time.
Describe the difference against the agreed drawing or evaluation criteria and include useful measurements or photographs. The proposed adjustment, any additional work and its effect on cost or timing should be reviewed before the next sample stage. Do not treat an unresolved change as part of an approved production specification.
No. A sample can support the review of fit, construction and agreed operating behaviour, but it does not replace electrical ratings, installation requirements or any application-specific approval. Keep the sample identification, approved drawing and required documents together when confirming the production specification.
